My father was hard-of-hearing. He suffered a sudden sensorineural hearing loss in one ear after a car accident in his twenties and was told nothing could be done to help. When I became an audiologist in 1997, I evaluated him and tried hearing aids which not only helped him but changed his life for the better. I'll never forget the expression on his face and his amazement that he was hearing from the ear he had not heard from in decades.
I am passionate about both audiology and music. I took piano lessons from the age of five and continued lessons through college. I almost pursued a master’s degree in piano performance. I decided to choose audiology instead so I could have the best of both worlds - I could still play piano and I could help protect other musicians’ ears.
A decade of experience working at several large hospitals and ENT clinics with some of the most preeminent professionals in the field prepared me for opening my own audiology practice in 2005.
I am passionate about protecting ears and dedicated to helping people optimize their hearing, listening, and communication skills.
